Physical signature confirmation by your device
A signature on SignedText.com can be verified by your physical device. This ensures that the signature was created by a real person who had access to the device. The device verifies the person.
WebAuthn technology with hardware attestation guarantees:
- Barrier against mass automation
- The hardware in the signer's device is designed so that it releases the digital signing key only upon physical activity. Even if the signer attempted to automate the process using software, the device would not allow it — real physical contact with the sensor is required to generate each individual signature.
- Proof of deliberate intent
- Every signature is the result of the user's deliberate intent. Because the process requires interaction directly with the security chip (e.g. fingerprint, face recognition, or button press), it is virtually impossible for a signature to be created accidentally, in the background, or without the device owner's knowledge.
- Protection against remote exploitation
- For you as a recipient, this means that the signer's identity could not have been exploited by an attacker over the internet. Even if a hacker took control of the signer's entire computer, they would not have access to the „physical confirmation“ inside the chip. Therefore, the document could only have been signed by someone who physically had the device and actively used it.

How does it work?
- Register your device — In your profile, you register a mobile phone or hardware security key. During registration, the device creates a unique cryptographic key that is securely stored directly in the device's hardware and cannot be copied.
- Sign a document — When creating a signature, the system will prompt you to confirm your identity on your device.
- Confirm your identity — Place your finger, look into the camera, draw a gesture, or enter your device PIN. Your device creates a unique cryptographic confirmation that is inseparably paired with the specific signature.
What do you need?
Just one of these devices:
- Android mobile phone — with Chrome browser and Google Play Services. Confirmation by fingerprint, face recognition, gesture, or PIN.
- Hardware security key — for example YubiKey or Google Titan. Connect to your computer via USB and confirm by touch.
Your device serves as a secure key to your signatures.
Key benefits
Highest security
The cryptographic key is stored directly in the security chip of your device. It cannot be copied, stolen by phishing, or obtained through a server data breach.
Proof of physical presence
Physical confirmation by the device is clear proof that it was you who authorized the signature at that moment. This increases the legal weight and trustworthiness of the signature.
Simplicity
Just one touch or glance. No complicated passwords or codes. Device registration takes less than a minute.
